Web Design and Outreach Consulting for Emergency Services

In 1998 we pioneered the creation and use of dynamic, database driven web sites for fire departments, emergency services, government agencies, small businesses and labor associations. Our complete web consulting, design and management services emphasize search engine optimization, highly functional and professional layouts, clean graphic design, and ease of content management. We were the first web developers to apply hosted Windows SharePoint Services for fire department intranet websites.

With growth into Content Management Systems (CMS, including Joomla! , WordPress, Drupal, and custom solutions), graphic and logo design, and web management services, we now offer a full spectrum web consulting platform from planning to design and management.

Our knowledge of the needs of fire departments and fire districts is unparalleled. Specialized toools such as complete online staffing suites that outperform rivals at a fraction of the cost, and the only fire department specific SharePoint and PHP intranets available make ours the most cost effective solutions for your agency.

About the Founder

Todd Lando is a veteran, professional firefighter with a diverse background including wildfire science and mitigation, vegetation management and forestry, graphic and web design, journalism, and degrees in Urban Planning and Natural Resource Conservation.

His commitment to the fire service began an interest in improving fire department communications - both internally and with the public through the use of state-of-the-art, web-based technologies.

As an independent fire prevention outreach consultant and web developer since 1998 for fire departments and public agencies in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Todd specializes in building custom, dynamic, CMS public websites for the fire service. With state of the art designs focusing on ease of use and professional designs for the public audience, and secure, web-based intranets to improve internal communication within an agency, Todd has helped numerous local agencies, fire districts and state and county fire departments build web solutions.

Todd has also developed local public outreach websites and web-based internal communication intranets for labor organizations, small businesses, and professional associations.

Todd earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Urban Planning, emphasizing Natural Resources Conservation and Restoration, from Sonoma State University in 1997, and studied Forestry and Wildfire Management at University of Montana. With more than 32 years of experience in the fire service, including as a Battalion Chief and professional firefighter in Northern California, Todd responded to and worked professionally on many of the significant fires that changed the public and fire service's outlook toward the urban-wildland interface, including the Oakland/Berkeley Hills "Tunnel Fire" in 1991, the North Bay fires of 2017, the Camp and Thomas Fires of 2018.

Todd gained knowledge and expertise in local planning and vegetation management at Urban Forestry Associates where he worked as a Fire and Fuels Management Specialist, bringing an expertise in GIS, internet, and database technology.

Todd worked as Executive Director of Fire Safe San Mateo and Fire Safe Marin, the nation's first and second Fire Safe Councils. Todd is a Marin County, California native and lives there today.
